Article # 34 Treadmill Benefits

Treadmill

When you use a treadmill you are helping to make your cardiovascular system stronger. You are constantly moving at a pace that you can handle and your heart and lungs are getting a great workout from it. Exercising on it for at least thirty minutes, three to five times a week, can help you to lower your risk of cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and other chronic problems.

Bones

Work at preventing osteoporosis by exercising every day on the treadmill. It will help you to strengthen your bones and even people who have already been diagnosed have used it as a way to manage the problem.

Joints

The best way to recover from a back, knee, ankle, or hip injury is to use the treadmill. It helps to relieve the stiffness in the joints and to make them stronger again. Regain the flexibility in your joints through one of the more gentle treadmill exercises.

Weight Loss

If you are willing to push yourself than you could be losing weight and burning calories on your treadmill every day. All you have to do is workout for at least thirty minutes (preferably more) and increase the level of difficulty every few weeks.
